The Egg: (Mis)translating Silence into Language and Action)
The Egg is a network which resists both material and immaterial forms of control.
The ambiguity of the Egg opens up a space of constant mistranslation/re-interpretation.
It is within this space that the alternate can occur.
The diagram explores the power of mistranslation in exploring the multiplicity of what things can mean.
A dialogue generated mutates as acts of resistance and control intercept and undergo a process of
translation and interpretation - nterrogating the opportunity for the counter.
The Egg embodies and fosters these notions of mistranslation. The space of resistance it
creates renders The Egg into an important tool for expression, change and radical transformation in Beirut.
